99A主戰(zhàn)坦克是我國(guó)在的基礎(chǔ)上研制的全新主戰(zhàn)坦克，于2015年9月3日，在抗戰(zhàn)勝利70周年閱兵式中首次亮相。下面從以下幾個(gè)方面詳細(xì)介紹。

　　The main weapon of the 99A main battle tank is a 48 caliber 125mm smoothbore gun, which can fire tail stabilized armor piercing shells and cannon fired missiles. Its maximum penetration depth reaches 700 millimeters, which can effectively penetrate the frontal armor of surrounding countries' main battle tanks.

　　99A坦克的正面防護(hù)能力出色，采用了模塊式復(fù)合裝甲，物理厚度超過(guò)1米，正面抗穿能力超過(guò)700毫米，抗破能力超過(guò)1000毫米。然而，側(cè)面防護(hù)是其弱點(diǎn)，車(chē)體側(cè)面防護(hù)僅為50毫米厚的鋼板和一塊橡膠裙板，小口徑機(jī)關(guān)炮就能擊穿。盡管炮塔側(cè)面的裝甲厚度有所保障，但仍然無(wú)法抵御反坦克火箭彈的攻擊。
